The Chernivtsi City Council has officially assumed administration of the “PoruCh” platform: a memorandum on further development has been signed

During an official visit to Chernivtsi by Alle Doorhaute, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine, the AREAC team presented the results of the Growth Spaces project, implemented in partnership with the Chernivtsi City Council, Ro3kvit, and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.

A key outcome of the meeting was the official transfer of the “PoruCh” platform to municipal administration. The memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Play The City team — the developers of the platform — and Nataliia Frunze, Director of the Department of Social Policy of the Chernivtsi City Council.

This decision ensures the platform’s sustainable development and continued operation after the project’s completion, integrating “PoruCh” into a long-term system of community support.

Darina Pasiuta, Ro3kvit’s coordinator for the program, outlined the planned expansion of the Growth Spaces initiative, emphasizing its potential to strengthen mutual-aid infrastructure in communities across Ukraine.

The Ambassador of the Netherlands highlighted the importance of systematic cooperation between the civic sector and municipal authorities. Following the presentation, participants — representatives of the Embassy of the Netherlands, the Chernivtsi City Council, and local organizations — continued discussing the role of international partnerships in urban development and addressing wartime challenges.

The initiative is implemented by AREAC and Ro3kvit in cooperation with Dutch partners — Play the City, INBO, and STIPO — with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands as part of the project Communities at the Heart of Urban Changes.
