Building a resilient city together: launching a new project in Kremenchuk!

In December 2024, the Ro3kvit team launched the project “Kremenchuk – climate-proof urban strategy” In collaboration with the municipality and local initiatives, we are developing a spatial strategy for the city and reimagining the left bank of the Dnipro River.
Our focus areas include climate adaptation, energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, natural resource conservation, and circular economy principles. But this is just part of the broader vision—the strategy will address a much wider range of challenges and opportunities for the city's development.
On February 19, we hosted a workshop with municipal representatives and local organizations to identify key opportunities, strengths, and challenges in revitalizing the riverfront. This marks the first step in shaping a shared vision for the future of this area.
As part of this project, we aim not only to develop a spatial urban strategy, but also to strengthen the municipality’s capacity to implement environmental initiatives.
To support the strategy, we will also use research from the book "Dnipro River Integrated Vision". We’re excited to see our materials continuing to inspire new projects and urban strategies!
