How Kremenchuk is Becoming a Healthy and Climate-Resilient City: Final Strategy Presentation

The final public presentation of the “Kremenchuk – Urban Climate Resilience Strategy” took place in Kremenchuk.
This marked the final stage of several months of work — we presented the developed solutions and collected community feedback to incorporate into the final version of the document.
The presentation covered two levels:
▪️ Citywide — a vision of Kremenchuk as a city that adapts to climate change, becoming greener, safer, and more livable;▪️ Local — concrete transformation proposals for two pilot areas in the city center and the waterfront zone.
The strategy is based on the "Healthy City" approach by the WHO. It focuses on creating an urban environment that supports physical and mental health, well-being, environmental quality, social interaction, accessibility, and mobility — and above all, responds to the needs of every resident.
In response to challenges such as pollution, climate change, and declining quality of life, Kremenchuk, together with experts, is rethinking its development — through the lens of care for people and the environment.
The project is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine (EKN).
