Ro3kvit team presented the Resilience Strategy for the Kamianske community
Yesterday in Kamianske, the Ro3kvit team presented the Community Resilience Strategy — a document developed over six months in collaboration with the municipality, residents, local NGOs, and businesses.
Why the city needs a Resilience Strategy
Kamianske faces a set of challenges typical for many Ukrainian industrial cities: a large territory, a complex engineering legacy, contrasting living conditions across districts, and a strong demand for clear and realistic change. This made the city an important case for testing resilience approaches in an environment where multiple issues converge.
How the presentation took place
During the event, the Ro3kvit team outlined the key elements of the strategy and discussed with residents which resilience principles they consider a priority and which proposed solutions resonate most with their experience. Participants also shared project ideas they see as feasible for implementation. All collected proposals will be systematized and passed on to the municipality.
Methodology
The Strategy is based on the Urban Resilience Framework — a methodology developed last year by Ro3kvit in cooperation with professors from German universities. This approach has already been piloted in the development of three strategies for Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro.
Next steps
The next stage focuses on developing projects that can genuinely improve Kamianske, building on the needs and priorities of the community.
