Lecture # 9: "Urban Resilience and the Glocal Communities: How can Ukraine Cities harvest the possibilities in the best way"

The purpose of the session is to discuss post-war recovery based on resilience and sustainable principles. We will talk about Urban Resilience - why what and how, as well as its history, from the past to the future. The part of this event we are interested to dedicate to discussion with participants. 
The lecture series is organised by ro3kvit urban coalition for Ukraine with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.

    Silvia Haslinger Olsson, co-founder of Nordic Urban Resilience Institute

    Silvia has several years of experience in the field of urban resilience and is co-founder of Nordic Urban Resilience Institute. Since 2013 she has been working as COO for Resilient Regions Association, a neutral and independent arena for collaboration on urban resilience, addressing societal challenges involving politicians, the industry, the private and public sector, and the academia. Previously she has been working with cluster strategy and innovation at the Regional Development Agency in Southern Sweden.

    Magnus Qvant, Senior Strategist Climate Adaptation, and Resilience, City of Malmö

    Magnus Qvant has a special focus on climate adaptation and long-term strategic capacity building in his role for the City of Malmö. He has over ten years of working experience at the executive level in the field of urban resilience and is a co-founder of the Nordic Urban Resilience Institute. He also has more than 20 years of experience in training and practice in civil security and emergency management, nationally and internationally. Magnus Qvant is also the Secretary-General of the Resilient Regions Association, a neutral and independent arena for collaboration on Urban Resilience, addressing societal challenges involving politicians, the industry, the private and public sectors, and academia.
