Kateryna Lopatiuk is an architect and Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is a Member of the Ukrainian team of the European Architectural Student Assembly (EASA). Her research focus is bottom-up urban initiatives and urban morphology. 

Brent D. Ryan is Associate Professor of Urban Design and Public Policy at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is specialized in shrinking cities, de-industrialization, and climate change.
