Lecture #10: "New European Bauhaus: building sustainable future jointly with the EU"
Recently in Kyiv, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced that the EU will support Ukraine in rebuilding its cities in a high-quality, sustainable and inclusive way with the New European Bauhaus (NEB) community. Ro3kvit implements several projects in Ukraine together with NEB, and we would like to tell more about this important EU initiative.
At our first public lecture this year, NEB representatives will talk about:
● What is the New European Bauhaus and how does this initiative help implement the European Green Deal● NEB values and principles● Collaboration with NEB: How organizations, companies and citizens can work jointly on common issues
The lecture series is organised by ro3kvit urban coalition for Ukraine with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
Speakers
Vera Winthagen
Vera Winthagen is an industrial designer working on Design for Policy in the European Commission - applying design methods for new ways of policy making. Her focus is on human centred design and participatory methods. She is currently working in the New European Bauhaus, a creative and transdisciplinary initiative that connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces and experiences, where sustainability is matched with inclusion and beauty, creating new solutions for the future.
Borut Cink
Borut Cink is Community Manager in the New European Bauhaus (NEB) team He works with and for the New European Bauhaus Community. In his role, he facilitates project development and partnership-building activities, organizes community events and supports the community in contributing to the implementation of the NEB Initiative.
